The detached multi-family house in the Altenberg district of Bern was built in 1923 in the `Heimatstil` style. There are three apartments in the house, the attic apartment was already fully renovated in 2000 and was not part of this project.

The floor plans of the two apartments; on the ground and second floor were completely reconfigured, receiving new room layouts and aspects as well as new bathrooms, kitchens and surfaces. The original wooden exterior walls, which were only 8cm thick, were

insulated internally.

The garden level, formerly used as a basement, was extended to add a spacious living area to the lower apartment and provide direct access to the fantastic garden.

The apartment on the upper floor received a spacious eat-in kitchen with a view of the Aare.
